Before I start, most of the pictures you will see through out this post are screen shots I took while watching and listening to Dnice DJ. If I offend anyone whose screen name is shown in any picture I post, I apologize and if you send me an email I will remove it. Second, I will not give you a history lesson on Dnice because by now you should know Dnice’s history. This maybe a long post, so get ready.

I have followed Dnice for a while now on both my personal and blog Instagram pages. If you are from my generation you know the cute guy, a member of BDP and his song; My Name is Dnice. I am pretty sure a lot of us had a crush on Dnice growing up. He was and is still a cutie. He also does photography and he discovered Kid Rock. I checked out his photography page @Monochromlife and its wonderful. Makes me want to step up my photography page game, which is the plan.

As NYC started to slowly shut down, I was able to leave work early one day. I thought I would take my Mom to grocery store to get ready for the shut down that was coming. She was already out when I got home, so I made a cup of tea and sat in the living room, and waited for her to get home so I could help bring the groceries in and put them away. As I was scrolling through instagram I saw Dnice was on and decided to watch. I even spoke to one of my friends on his live. He was just talking about music at this point and asking his followers who they wanted to hear. One of his followers asked for Norman Conners. If you don’t know who Norman Conners is, please do your research. At that point he only had like 200 people watching his live, but as you can see he has grown far beyond anyones expectations. He went from 200k to 1M in a week and he is now at 2M followers on Instagram. He now has 3M + views in less than a month.

Now let me go back a little bit, my ex-husband is a DJ. If you are from my generation and you partied in NYC at Eugene’s, Metronome, Deep, Mars2112 and countless other clubs, you have partied at with my ex-husband as the DJ. My ex-husband is one of the best DJ’s around, (yes I am talking about my ex-husband and yes we are friends). I have to give credit were credit is due. He taught me a lot about DJing and I paid attention. I think that is why I was drawn to Dnice, because I haven’t heard a DJ spin so good in a long time. Dnice and my ex-husband are my favorites.

Dnice is a mood!!

From that day on I’ve watch all his lives. I watched as he played music and brought the world together to make things a little better while we are in quarantine. He even partnered with Michelle Obama for a voter registration party, where 300,000 people registered to vote. He plays the 70’s, 80’s and some 90’s music and the world is loving his IG lives. I am exhausted from staying up until 3:00AM listening to him play. There were a few nights I fell asleep lol and woke up to thanks for watching. He also plays clean music. No curses. In the 3 plus weeks he has been spinning on IG Dnice has taken something he just wanted to share and made it a phenomenal moment in time, that we will not forget anytime soon. He has made history. Music brought the world together, during a time of need. The Power of Music.

Celebrities and DJs have been partying with Dnice’s Club Quarantine and his After Dark session. Stephanie Mills, Jeffrey Osborne, Kathy Sledge, DJ Clark Kent, Oprah, Donnie Wahlberg, Diddy, Chaka Khan and the First Lady of Club Quarantine Halle Berry and countless other celebrities who have logged in to listen to Dnice play music. Club Quarantine even has a theme song, Thinking of You. He even did a sweatshirt with Will Smith’s Bel-Air Athletics and then he started his own shop www.thecqshop.com. I spent some dollars at both shops supporting him, because I know how hard DJ’s work. He made it known that DJ’s are important to the music industry.

I tried to upload video of Dnice performing but Squarespace won’t let me be great! So I found this picture with a sincere smile.

Threw it all he has supported other DJs and we have supported them, when he needs a break. Bryan Michael Cox, is a producer who has been DJing After After Dark and his set are fire. He also sent us DJMOS, DJMillie and DJsophiarocks to name a few. I don’t remember the day but one day he DJ for 9 hours and that is the day he hit 100,000 on IG live. Some days he pops on and off. He was suppose to take a break, but he could not stay away, which we are all thankful for. He participated in DJEnvy I love DJ on Easter Sunday to support the out of work DJS and then opened up for Diddy #Teamlove Dance-A-Thon to raise money for our healthcare workers on the same day.

We cannot forget the best part of CQ #BerryNice. What is #BrryNice you ask? Halle Berry (First Lady of CQ) and Dnice have been flirting on his lives. It’s the sweetest thing ever to watch him shoot his shot. All of us who watch are rooting for them lol.

I have so many notes and screen shots to share, but as I am typing this post I realize it maybe too much. Listen to his lives and his interviews. Both are great and it comes from a place of love. He has shared the power of music with the world and we will forever be grateful to you Dnice.

Last and certainly not least, but lets talk about Club Qurantine family. Everyone who is listens to him Dj are there to have fun and listen to music. It is nothing but love and jokes that go on in the comments. We all wish Dnice nothing but the best. He brought the best to us and he deserves the best in return.

Thank you!!
